Maya Design, which was recently acquired by Boston Consulting Group, has been hired by Pittsburgh’s Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) to prepare a proposal aimed at persuading online retail giant, Amazon, to locate in the city.
The hiring of Maya Design comes after Amazon announced it was looking for a new second home to be equal to its current Seattle base. Kevin Acklin, URA board chair said: “We think Amazon knows about us. They know about the universities, our relatively low cost of living, and the competitive advantages we have being in Pittsburgh. We're going to compete hard for this.”
