Coca-Cola’s vice-president for digital sales and marketing in Europe has bowed out to join management consultancy McKinsey & Company after 11 years at the soft drinks giant. Mark Elkins joins the consultancy as a partner, with a brief to grow the business through marketing and sales. McKinsey’s gain comes after a number of high-profile departures at Coca Cola. In the last few months it has lost its global chief marketing officer, and senior VP for North America. Elkins first joined Coca-Cola in June 2006. Before his career at the drinks firm, Elkins was a manager at Marakon Associates.
