Government think tank, Niti Aayog, is reported to have hired both Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company for what it calls a number of ‘high quality services’. According to The Hindu, Minister of State for Planning, Rao Inderjit Singh said: “In order to transform health and education in three states, each under Development Support Services for States (DSSS), a consortium of McKinsey and IPE Global, Boston Consultancy Group and Piramal Foundation Education have been engaged, respectively.” He added: “The Niti Aayog hires consultancy services through open competitive bidding.” So far, it is said these projects are at a very early stage of development.
