Boston Consulting Group – a habitual name on most ‘great place to work’ lists - will this year be absent from Fortune.com’s annual ‘100 Best Places to Work for Millennials’ after deciding not to take part in the survey. The ranking, comprising data from Fortune and Great Place to Work, combines data from surveys of more than 398,000 US employees from companies certified by Great Place to Work. But this year, it has not been listed. It means several professional services firms now appear to out-rank it. “Boston Consulting Group decided not to participate this year,” said Kim Peters, executive vice president at Great Place to Work. Despite this, it was ranked No. 3 on Fortune’s 2017 overall list of ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’.
