McKinsey & Company has announced it will be hiring at least another 250 people in its Costa Rica operation. Despite only establishing a presence there in 2010, the firm has already grown to be more than 700 employees-strong. This latest announcement, made to coincide with a visit from Luis Guillermo Solís, President of Costa Rica to McKinsey’s center at Ultrapark II in Lagunilla, Heredia, will be a major boost to the country. “This is the result of Costa Rica’s efforts to strengthen the country,” said the president. Andres Cadena, McKinsey senior partner. “It’s the dedication and talent of Costa Ricans that is making our center a success for our clients.” In 2018, McKinsey Costa Rica plans to move into a brand new building with capacity for more than 1,300 full-time colleagues - a plan consistent with its aim to grow local operations significantly over the next three-five years.
