Boston Consulting Group has been granted use of Wichita State University’s state of the art 3DExperience Centre, in a move that it hopes will bring it more clients, and act as a bridge between academia and the business world. The agreement will allow Boston Consulting Group’s clients to use its visualisation technology to experiment and assess advanced manufacturing technologies, such as collaborative robots, 3-D printing, augmented reality, and big data and analytics (collectively termed ‘Industry 4.0.’). “The partnership will allow us to create connections with organisations and industries that we haven’t in the past,” added John Tomblin, WSU vice president of research and technology transfer. The centre will be open to BCG and its clients from 27 April.
