A £15,000 prize will be awarded to the person proposing the best idea for a business book on the challenges and opportunities for growth, after McKinsey and the FT teamed up to annouce the 2017 Bracken Bower Prize. Participating authors must be under the age of 35, and the judging panel includes Jorma Ollila, former chairman of Royal Dutch Shell and Nokia; and Isabel Fernandez-Mateo, associate professor of strategy and entrepreneurship, at the London Business School. Submission must be less than 5,000 words, and written in a style that conveys the argument and scope of their book idea. The 2015 winner, Saadia Zahidi, will see her proposal, about the new generation of Muslim women in the workplace, published later this year.
