McKinsey, Bain and The Boston Consulting Group  have all been criticised for not doing enough to improve the proportion of women at the highest levels in their organisation in Australia. According to data they filed to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency, the percentage of full-time permanent female directors was 16% at McKinsey, 20% at Bain and 25% at BCG. The data also reveals that at the professional level, all three consultancies only have around 40% female participation. Andrew Clark, BCG’s Australia and New Zealand managing director said: “We’ve been very explicit we’re trying to grow the number of female partners in the firm.”
