Italian app-maker Qurami said 27 July that a fund led by Bain & Company partners has made a sizable investment in the firm.
The amount was not divulged, due to a secrecy request from R204 Partners, a fund based in Milan and composed of partners from Bain & Company : Duilio Matrullo and Roberto Folli.
The app allows consumers to cut down their wait time in lines by determining how many are in line and the estimated wait time. The company is operating in both Italy and in the UK, but will use the funds to finance expansion in overseas markets, likely to be Spain and the U.S. over the next two years.
“This investment will allow us to actually go to the most difficult phase, that of scaling up,” Italian publication EconomyUp reported Qurami founder Roberto Macina as saying.
