BCG has hired Ulrike Schwarz-Runer as general counsel, after its previous general counsel left the post in 2015, The Lawyer reported 1 July.
Schwarz-Runer had previously served as Grosvenor in-house lawyer. She is replacing Jeremy Barton, who is now general counsel at KPMG. The new general counsel will serve on Boston Consulting Group’s executive council and will report to CEO Rich Lesser.
“Her international background and diverse leadership experience will be key to success in our continued pursuits across industries and regions,” Lesser said in a statement.
Schwarz-Runer specializes in M&A transactions as well as corporate governance and legal risk management.
