McKinsey & Company have begun to move into marketing strategy and design, after acquiring Silicon Valley-based design firm Lunar two years ago, Campaign Asia reported 5 July.
The company is looking to “reinvent offline industries” and help companies “confront attacker startups”, McKinsey VP for Asia-Pacific experience design Jared Braiterman said.
The company is moving into the sector due to a demand from clients, Braiterman said. The focus is on service design and design thinking, which helps companies create something of value for its customers. He has also helped a company make its webpage more user-friendly, so as not to turn off customers.
“There’s a huge opportunity to think about what the customer wants and make their needs a priority,” Braiterman said.
